Geographical Location

Hey 4X4 Aero, Where are you located & what's your overall climate and topography like  there. Do you drive in much frozen weather on the ground like your avatar shows ?

We've rust free vans here which many need mechanical stuff, tweaking,
repairs, upgrading and TLC. I have my pick whenever I go looking so far.
I'd be qwik to tell you that will not last forever though. I counted as many as 25 Aerostars around Florida in a single day. Now it's more like 8-10 a day. Say that gives me an Idea. . . .

You could eat off the bottom of my Floor pans on the 95 Aero. It's been right here in east central FL since 1995 when it was purchased locally by the PO.I'm only 3rd owner, if you count dealer I got it from. I have the 93 AWD but it dpent the 1st winter outside of Detroit, then came here & rode on the beach before I bought it. It's not rusted out/thru, but it's a booger to get  those rusty nuts & bolts loose I'll tell ya.

What we have to watch out for is people who drive on our beaches UGgh , or like my '93 those transplants who moved here from states where they've salted their roads. Or the absolute worst case scenario, people from where they have salted roads, driving on a winter beach & washing white crusty stuff off with the sea water. . .no while their kids & spouse are playing in the ocean, and it's 65 or 70 degrees out ao we're all wearing sweatshirts, sweaters or jackets. . . .
What can they possibly be thinking? confuse

CIAO
FBp  hmm

When i started to remove the rust from my project van(the on in my avatar) pound and pounds of salt poured from the rust holes still havent gotten all the salt out yet.

I'm in SE Ohio...  We get snow and ice here but not as bad as further North in the state.  I have managed to keep most of the vehicles we bought new rust free.  The one that is starting to show some signs of rust is my '93 E-350 long WB diesel van.  However, it was bought to use in the expedited freight service and mostly run in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, and Pennsylvania.  Over 150 K miles in the first years of service.  It now has 256K on it and still running butit has always been outside.  Our other vehicles remain rust free due to constant care and pressure washing.

Later Folks...
